    Unhappy Intrusion Detection System.

    Hi, Iam an novice to the linux. Iam assigned an project of designing an intrusion detection system in linux as a part of my undergraduate education. I want to write the code for the basic knowledge based IDS. Is it possible for a novice to finish the job in two months?? Plz help. Also can anyone give the sample code for IDS and also the sites which will be helpful for me. Thx in advance.

    Snort + Acid is good. Yes it sounds strange snorting acid, but snort is an IDS and acid produces information from snort. ( Processes it to be accurate )
