Hi all,
I am trying to set up an rh9 ftp server and wish to accept only picture files
(non executable).
In order to paste files (upload) into my site i have to have owner permission set to read write execute.
can someone tell me why a paste (write) is an execution as without this permission, I cannot paste to the directory.

I basically want to avoid others executing in the directory (home) of the logged in user and to further enhance security accept onl picture files..
