IPCop Questions???
Okay, just set up a firewall using IPCop ver. 1.4.10 on a PIII 1Ghz system running 256 MB RAM and a 40 GB HDD. Must say I really like this project; however, I have a few questions from those who use the product.
About my configuration:
I have three Public IP's bound to the Red interface as IP alias'. I am successfully routing (port forwarding) from the alias' IP's to servers on the Green. Now, when I checked the setup from outside the network using NMAP I am receiving results stating that several of my ports are open. I have used NMAP on all three of the IP addresses assigned to the Red interface with the same result - several ports being Open.
Are these erroneous results or have I left something out here? Any input is welcomed.
