Problem with /dev/pts/* owners
Hi,
I have authentication through ldap in my network and am using fedora core1
Problem is that whenever the users get logged in, the ownership of the corresponding file(s) in /dev/pts/ becomes
user_name:user_group
But i want it as
user_name:tty
Since users get an error when using the mesg command
"mesg: error: tty device is not owned by group `tty'"
tty group does exist in this sytem.
Can anbody please suggest what action i can take to do the above(or happen automatically) at login time.
Thank you.
p.s. Can you suggest some docs to read about for the files in /dev/pts
?
You are the one Linux!
