OpenSSh trouble "No DSA host key is known..."
Hi Everyone,
Im trying to connect to an sftp server using openssh and getting the following message:
No DSA host key is known for addressImConnectingTO and you have requested strict checking.
Host key verification failed.
Connection closed
what is odd about this message is that i am using an RSA key not DSA. According to the server admin the RSA key has been registered on the server but im not sure if he has set things up correctly. Is this message a sign that im am doing something wrong or them? Any help would be appreciated to help me find the root of the problem. Thanks in advance.

I think ive solved it now. I removed Strict Checking. Any one know if this will have any security impact? Thanks
