fake yahoo login ?

I notice that when i log into yahoo acount from ubuntu, the login page is there for about 3 seconds, then the login and password boxes "jump" to another part of the screen. I didn't think much of it until last night i tried to send email to my windows machine, and it bounced back...question is, isn't mail automated ? because on the failure it had a note from a person saying " sorry i could not send your mail" and a page of scrambled text ( a virus ??? maybe ). what to look for on a possible fake login promt ? thanks

There is a big craze with phishing sites on the internet these days. Are you sure you're not getting re-directed to an impostor page? Check the URL carefully.
