Hi all. Greetings from yet another Linux virgin/Windows refugee (pick one).
This is my second day as a Linux user and I know absolutely nothing about it! Even so, I have succeeded in installing Xandros 2 in a triple-boot system with Opera and getting on-line.
So far I am not at all displeased with Xandros, even if Xandros Networks did hose my system and force me to reinstall. I have now learned to avoid it.
My first questions involve internet security. Do I actually need any with Linux? I did download and try to install Firestarter but only got a long list of error messages. I haven't tried any anti-virus software yet. Does any even exist for Linux? All I have seen so far seems mainly to filter email attachments for Windows recipients.
Thanks for any suggestions on these matters.
