Secure mail spools
SMTP, POP3 and IMAP over SSL, no problem -- secure communications.
But what about securing the email when its sitting idle on the server?
Not simply file permissions to keep fellow users out, but encrypting the
mail data files themselves so a compromise does not give up the data.
Has anyone attempted this? Can this be accomplished within reason?
Use something like encrypted storage and mount the mail server path in it?
An encrypted partition, that's an idea. Thanks for the idea.
