Trustix and Limits
I've been searching all over the internet, trying to find a way to enable defined user limits inside of Trustix. I've setup limits.conf to reflect the max number of open files I want.
joebob hard nofile 65535
joebob soft nofile 10000
I then edited /etc/pam.d/login to make sure that there was a line like the following:
session required /lib/security/pam_limits.so
I then did echo 65535 >/proc/sys/fs/file-max
On other linux distro's when I do this I'm able to logout and login as the user and issue the ulimit -n command. It usually responds with 10000 as the limit, and works perfectly fine. When I perform this on trustix, it doesn't change the man number of open files I'm allowed to have. It stays defaulted at 1024. If anyone can maybe point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it.
