    putty through proxy

    Hi all,
Im trying to get connect to my gateway(with ssh) from school(with putty/windows)
putty just times out with default settings.
So ive got the schools proxy info from internet explorer and put that into putty
proxy server addr and proxy type=http

but i get "proxy error:502" ssl port not allowed

ive set my gateway sshd to use port 443 and 80 but that doesnt help.

Does anyone know how/if i can get passed this.
    Thanks.

Putty will work if school's proxy allow it. Make sure your schools's windows pc is allowed for such operation by school's proxy.
