DNS help
Hi,
I have recently changed servers as my last one was constantly crashing.
In order for me to receive my email and to get the site up and running my webhost has emailed asking me to change my DNS to a series of numbers eg 211.112.547.854
I'm familiar with building a site etc but haven't a clue how to do this??
Is it something I have to do in my ftp programme (currently dreamweaver) or in my control panel??
Would appreciate some help!
Cheers.

That doesn't really convey all the information required to understand the problem. Can you share a bit more of what your webhoster said?

I think he is talking about adding the line nameserver 211.112.547.854 to his /etc/resolv.conf file ? Of course , there won't be no 547 and 854

Update your domain information...
1. Update your domain information with whoever you got your domain name through.
2. Use the new IP address in your FTP client to access your site.
3. update your mail client if the mail server address has changed.
Working with Linux for 10 years and love it.
