    Looking for a highly recommended source of information on sendmail

    Can anyone recommend a good tutorial or documentation source for
    sendmail. As a matter of urgency, I need to be able to prove that
    emails are leaving the server OK. Some are as they are being received.
    Some might not be as they are not being received.

    I thought I identified the logs used by entering grep mail /etc/syslog.conf
    but they are all empty!

    I would suggest you to check out this
    Quick HOWTO : Ch21 : Configuring Linux Mail Servers - Linux Home Networking
    and google with search for pdf files option set,
    craig hunt +sendmail
    Can you post your /var/mail/maillog file ??
    I'm current doing some stuff with sendmail.
