GNOME Desktop

HI,
I recently cannot see my GNOME Desktop after I login using GNOME Session. the symthom is the FC7 dose not show my desktop icon as per normal after login. but I can switch to Text mode (using Ctrl+Alt+F1) and KDE Desktop when I selected to KDE Session before I login.
Does anyone can help me ? Any solution beside reinstall FC7?

You can remove all your gnome configuration by removing your gnome directories in your home directory. From the text-mode command prompt use:

$ cd
$ rm -fr .gnome
$ rm -fr .gnome2
$ rm -fr .gnome2_private

Then try to log in again to gnome. If this doesn't fix it, you can always try removing your .gconf and .gconfd directories too.

If you dont want to delete these directories, then you could create a backup dirctory and use the 'mv' command to move them all into there.
