    configuring squid for the first time -help


    i need to configure squid as cache and proxy server should i run it with ISA in parallel or would squid be sufficient. i need your advice and i have conly configured linux servers a year before during a training session but now i hardly remember any information.

    Squid should be sufficient as it can handle both cache and proxy server. I do not use ISA server and have squid as my main proxy and caache server. Configuration will depend on your requirements, hardware platform, linux distribution you are using, processor, memory, hard drive space.
