    SSL for Virtual Hosts

    Hi there

I'm responsible now for a redhat linux server with apache 2.0.46 as webserver.

Now I would like configure my virtual hosts to use ssl.

The pages works without ssl like http://mydomain but it does not work with ssl like https://mydomain.

I have many virtual hosts on it... How can I configure these to use both :80 and :443???

I would like to use :80 and :443 for all virtual hosts...

I also red the book "Apache 2.0" but im not familiar with SSL configuration.

    Please help

This depends on whether you are using Name-based or IP-based virtual hosting.

For name-based, you could only use 443 once. For IP-based you can use 443 for all the virtual domains (with different IP address for each).

Name-based means www.domain.com and www2.domain.com share the same IP addy.

IP-based means those two have different IP addies.
