Solution: Reemoved white space at th end of folder name

Thanks to those who tried to help.

I found out that this specific folder name had a white space character at the end of the name. This was being refused on my local server. I connected using windows, bypassing the linux. windows could see open the folder alright. since I have a write-access the remote ftpserver, I cleaned the white space at the end of the name. I can now access through the linux server.
