    Mail Server

Before gentoo, I had run a sendmail mailserver on RH9, but ive migrated my box to gentoo, and wanted to install a mail service. I emergeed sendmail (removeing the blocker ssmtp) But i couldn't get it to work. Then i realized that there are also a ton of new mailservers out there, and many are more secure. I'm looking for a relativly simple mailserver mainly for sending (this machine needs the mailserver to send e-mail notifications of network outages, there shouldn't be any reply mail) Any suggestions on what server to use, and any good howto's/tuts on it?
