Which Distro to use for ftp.
Ok.
At the moment, I am using filezilla server on my desktop under windows to act as a file server to my network. Unfortunately, windows is slow and takes ages to boot.
I have some linux experience, and am looking for the best distro to fill this hole.
It needs to run on a 400mhz laptop easily
Really quick boot time (~10 seconds)
FTP server functionality is what it really needs.
Can anyone help?
Thanks

the best is generally what you are already used to. Just about any distro with no X or gdm running will work just fine on a slower computer. when installing just don't install the extra's.
I would recommend debian but that is because debian is what I use. it will be easier to go with what you already know.
