You don't have permission to access /directory on this server

Hi Guys,

Im currently running centos and trying to setup my 1st directory under /var/www/html.

I have the directory called cacti under html.

However, when i attempt to access the directory using Apache i get the following error message:

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /cacti on this server.

I have set the user apache to be the owner of the directory... however no luck

Any pointers?

what do your apache logs say? probably /var/log/apache/access.log and error.log
