Hi -

I just upgraded to Fedora 9 - I run some fairly busy forums using PhpBB with MySQL back end.

After he upgrade I noticed that withing the forums all OLD TEXT that contained high ASCII in it was converted to a � symbol. however if a user put in NEW TEXT (i.e - after the upgrade was complete) the text went in fine.

I do not think it is MySQL (When I look at the text via PhpMyadmin it looks great.

This leads me to believe it is a PHP problem -

Has anyone ever come across this before?
