    sendmail

    i have done that you have said
    then also it gives same error ...error is

    Error sending message, child exited 78 ().
    Could not send the message.

    Login as root and run following commands and post their output here.

    Code:
    $service sendmail status
$service sendmail stop
$service sendmail start

$/etc/init.d/sendmail stop
$/etc/init.d/sendmail start
