Has anyone experienced problems with Solid Edge crashing or freezing when opening documents that live on the linux server?

I am running CentOS 4.3, with SAMBA 3.022.

The problem is intermittent and the network is running on a GB.

Is it a bug when opening large documents that may have several links in SAMBA?..

I have had a little look on the net and only a few threads with no solutions have been posted..
