XenServer 5 - Slow Guest Network, Slow Samba, Slow SSH

    Hi All,

I have XenServer 5 setup at home and also have Samba installed on the Xen Host but the problem is when trying to access Samba from a Virtual Guest it is SLOW like 1 minute or more to login and browse directories etc... (installed using YUM install Samba)

Also login into the Xen server SSH from a Guest Virtual is also slow so anything to do with the Host local network.

There is NO issues if login into a Samba share from another physical box on the network or login into the Xen server using SSH from another physical box on the network works fine.

The issue is only when using a Virtual guest in Xen and lopping back to the Xen host network?

I have tried stopping "service iptables stop" has not helped anyone know the issue here?

    Problem solved.

Firewall/Mac address issues in the network which the Xen server was transmitting thought.
