SAMBA server error
Couldn't see linux share on windows98 network neighbourhood.
??
And when I try to access linux share from windows comp. then it ask me for password , which password to supply.
??

When you install Samba, you will need to use either SWAP or Webmin or the default console configuration utilities to add samba users and passwords.
By default guest account is disabled, so Win98 supplies the active username, but samba also requires a password, that's why you'll see the popup.
Check this samba howto on how to configure samba and set the correct Netbios name so the linux machine will show up in your Network Neighbourhood.
