Server Questions
I'm wondering if this setup will work for a CS 1.6 server, will a custom rack mount 1u server celeron 1.7ghz/512mb/40gb be able to run a server smoothly, I'm running a client bridge and have 10 mbs internet.

I dont think so, It may lag a bit(not sure)..with more players.
celerons are only good for office/accounting work.

What are you going to be using the server for? If its just for basic tasks without many multiple clients connecting to the server at the same time, you maybe able to pull it off, but if its an option look for hardware with better specs.

Really depends what you're using the server for, but Celerons have a reputation for being cheap and crap, so if you can afford it, you'd probably want something better

It should work fine if you host a CS 1.6 dedicated server, instead of running full game..

Well I have to ask.... What is CS? since that seems to be what you want to serve. Also, is your 10 mbs connection symetric or asymetric?

I can remember running dedicated HL servers on 500-600MHz laptops (on LAN) with no issues. The CPU is fine.
