Want to buil new Ftp & Squid Server

i want to transfer my Ftp & proxy fro windows 2003 server to linux server(Rhel5.1). i am not well versed in Linux, just started to learn.. could some one give where i can get complete reference

FTP requirement:

need separate folders for each remote users with login & pass & move files to local windows clients using SAMBA

Squid requirement:

internet sharing with site restrictions & has to allow pop3 & smtp for some clients

& particularly (as we working with data processing the software connects with PORT 2433 o access the server ... when i configured squid simply it shares internet but blocked the PORT 2433 which is essential.. )

thanks in advance ...
