i got the same problem as you.... i emerged my system with -uD world.... my system gets all e-mails but doesn't deliver it ... so what have you done to solve this problem ?

here is my...
/etc/courier/authlib/authdaemonrc.... and if i restart courier-authlib he does his initialisation fine
