Sendmail problems

Hi!

I have one problem with sendmail:

When using squirrell mail i can send and receive mail normaly.

When using mail client (outlook express, or some else) i can receive mails but can't send! always same: Relaying denied, ip name posibly forged

I added my domain to local-host-names, relay-domains and access file but still nothing....

My server is on the same IP range as my clients are...

It only works good if i add .com, .net .rs... and so long prefixes, in relay-domains file, but then server is open relay! and it doesn't show error anymore in outlook.

What can be the problem?

check the port 25 or other customized port is open in the server . In the out look try the option my server requires authentication

Nah... i removed that line, and tried to check "my server requires authentication" still same error, maybe DNS is the problem or some other configuration of sendmail?

so you have to add client IP addr to /etc/mail/access after that , restart sendmail services.

Ok, that's clear, but in that case i need to type entire block of my public addresses in that file? can i use something like: 1.2.3.4/24 for example, and to add my entire block off ip addresses?

and second question is: dovecot doesn't delivery mail at all! when i send from gmail, live or other, there is no mail arrived in my inbox, and in few days from place i was send mail it arrive message defered or something like that?

But if i use citadel mail server, it's always works.

access file can add this line: 0.0.0.0 RELAY but it's not a good idea.

do you add user authority function? if that, startup saslauthd service. use for salt password for dovecot.

Hmm, i don't understand very much what you mean by user authority function, i add users with this command : "useradd somename" and i use plain auth for dovecot.
I only changed two lines in dovecot.conf

protocols: imap pop3
Listen "*"

Do i need to setup more settings or this is enough?
