Sendmail:Deferred connection timeout with mailin
I am using Linux fedora 9.I have configured the sendmail server.But whenever i send mail8.14.2, mails are queued in mailq and the status it is showing as "Deferred: Connection timed out with mailin. " error.It is not delivering the mail to the destination.What could be the problem?I had configured it earlier successfully on the other system it was working fine.Please help me out.

i am an engineering student. i am doing project in which i require the sendmail.
i need your help for the following. i have two pc with RedHat 4 installation both are connected to each other by network cable. i want to install the sendmail on one pc and i want to use this machine as my mail server and from other pc i want to access sendmail using evolution and thunderbird.i am successfully running telnet over them for communication.i want to send mail using the evolution from one machine to anather. i dont know how to do it. i succeeded in installing the sendmail and use it locally but i want to use it from other machine
please help me . i dont know how to configure sendmail, evolution and thunderbird for this specific application. please send me detailed information.
