CUPS took a dump after update
I am running CentOS on my server with nightly updates. After one such update CUPS will not print. I can print from the local machine but if I try to print remotely nothing happens. I checked error_log and there is no reference whatsoever to having submitted a job, nor does a job show up on the web admin page either as processing or old.
This is what I used to get when I printed remotely
Now there is nothingCode:I [25/Mar/2009:11:45:48 -0600] Adding start banner page "none" to job 74. I [25/Mar/2009:11:45:48 -0600] Adding end banner page "none" to job 74. I [25/Mar/2009:11:45:48 -0600] Job 74 queued on 'broca' by 'user'. I [25/Mar/2009:11:45:48 -0600] Started filter /usr/lib/cups/filter/pstops (PID 20379) for job 74.
Whats up? I really hate CUPS - it has been nothing but a hassle but I haven't found any alternative to a windows/linux network printer
Thanks
