    Needing local server setup

    Hello.

I want to setup my own local server on my linux box which is powered by Mandrake 10CE. I know about that ADVX (Advanced X somethin...), but it's not good for me as i can't install XOOPS portal system on it properly. I think it just doesn't fits and has the wrong mysql version on something.

I need a server pack that will have the same or at least similar to 4.0.20., PHP 4.3.8. and Apache 1.3.31. as that's exactly what i have on online server.

I need it for testing purposes so that i don't have to test new modules and betas on the live libervis setup.

I'd like it to be simple to install if possible, in RPM's.

    Thank you
    Daniel

I posted a pretty simple and straight forward install for the latest version of apache+php, and then you can just install mysql rpm

if your not familiar enough with the system install webmin (www.webmin.com) and admin your apache+php and mysql installs very easily

installing rpm's is easier with apt (check the sig)
