    Disk safety by mdadm using onboard controller.

    Hello,

    Today i figured out, my hdd working in mdadm raid have enabled write cache

    Code:
    Enabled	Supported:
    	   *	SMART feature set
    	    	Security Mode feature set
    	   *	Power Management feature set
    	   *	Write cache
    My onboard sata controller don't have any backup battery cache memory.
    Should i disable this write cache to protect my data in case power failure ?

    I think you can use the command:

    # hdparm -options /dev/device

    hdparm has many option, you can use:

    # hdparm -h

    I think that will help you.
