access denied phpmyadmin

hi there

i just installed phpmyadmin on my linux pc i having problem regarding on installing

i already follow the steps based on the website but still i, facing problems

i check the error on logs here it is
[Mon Sep 21 21:07:29 2009] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] client denied by server configuration: /var/www/phmyadmin

on the browser i'm facing this one

Access forbidden!
You don't have permission to access the requested object. It is either read-protected or not readable by the server.
If you think this is a server error, please contact the webmaster.

The error you have reported about is related to permissions not granted to the said folder. Could you refer to this link ClientDeniedByServerConfiguration - Httpd Wiki
