    Client is already installed. that is Evolution mail.
    or you can get something like Thunderbird/Slypheed.

    For email server you need MTA and POP/IMAP Server
    There are some MTAs like Postfix/Exim/Qmail/Sendmail
    and POP/IMAP Servers like Dovecot/Cyrus/Courier

    Just google them out

    I would prefer Postfix and Dovecot. but different people have different opinions.. just don't go with recommendation. Try all those out first.
