I've been really frustrated by how little I've found on KVM setup, especially without virt-manager and virt-viewer. I can get the guest up and running, and I've seen the documentation on the ubuntu site, but I still can't figure out how to

a) configure the virtual network to be, say, 192.168.1.0/24

b) configure the host to bridge so that real machines can communicate with virtual machines from the same network (and so that the v-machines are NOT nat'ed).

I've tried setting up a bridge on the host, configuring it for a valid address inside the desired network. But I still can't communicate real--virtual.

Again, I want to do this through the cli only--no gui's.
