I am new to Linux i have a requirement to send some OS and DB Statistics as email on daily basis to administrator the solution comes into mind using Shell scripting and Cron utility.

we have Mdeamon Email server running on windows xp i have to use sendmail to act as Email client for Mdeamon our Email server. My linux in Redhat AS 4

I tried to setup sendmail in /etc/mail but not successful please suggest some solution
