    strange samba configuration

    Hi,

    In my /etc/yp.conf, file, we have something like below:


    domain mydomain server server1
    ypserver server2
    In this case, which server will be used as the master NIS ? Will it be server1 or server2 ?

    They're both valid and in conflict with each other. Take a browse through your /etc/rc.d/ypbind script. Here on my Fedora system, the 'domain' line will take precence, so it's likely to be the same for most System V Linuxes.
