Apache to share htdocs and mysql with windows and ubuntu?

Hi im a complete newbie so bare with me

I have installed xampp on my windows and ubuntu partitions. Now I would like xampp on linux to share htdocs and mysql databases on my windows so I dont have to keep drag and dropping files and overwriting files I needed

Can this be done as I can read my windows partition from linux???? And if it can please could you guide me through the process.

Are both systems running at the same moment? With a virtual machine?
Or do you choose during starting?

I am guessing you choose during start.
So you need to mount the windows partition in Linux ... you may need too add an entry into /etc/fstab
Then you can change the settings from mysql and apache to the folder of the htdocs and database from windows.
The Apache settings should be in an folder like "/etc/apache/sites-enabled"
I don't know the setting folder from mysql ... just search in /etc/

As far as i know it is mounted as I can see files on it. just not through apache2..

I get you dont have perrmission to view .....
