smbmnt and stale nfs file handle errors
i have a windows 98se box and a redhat 9.0 box.
when i try to mount a windows share with linneighborhood i get "smbmnt must be installed suid root for direct user mounts error=1."
i finaly got it to mount with "#smbmnt /home/trwrigh/network/c/ -s //HOMENETWORKSTN1/C" but when i tryed to view its contents i got "ls: .: stale nfs file handle."
can anyone help with this problem as my flash disk has recently passed away and i need some way of getting things bigger than a floppy to and from my linux box.Cry out for freedom! Cry out for Linux!
