    Is samba the solution?

    Hello

    My friend has an office with a few employees. He wants to have a userid/password protected folders in a network so each employee can access their files. I recommend FTP to him and I also setup a FTP server for him but he does not want to use it. I was thinking would Samba be the right choice in this case?
