I am having problems with my server when I change the bind address to a private IP rather than localhost or 127.0.0.1 in the /etc/mysql/my.cnf file.
I need to use a private number (192.168.1.5 for example) so I can enable remote mysql connections to programs on the intranet; however if I change my bind address to that, my email no longer works/can connect to the mySQL database.
Here is a rough idea of how my email is setup:
I am currently running Debian Lenny.
If you need anymore info, please ask and I would be happy to provide it.
Thanks in advance,
