    service squid start not working, says squid: unrecognized &

    Dear Nice People,

    I have successfully installed squid but when I used the command service squid start, it couldn.t

    I am using Fedora 3.

    The following is the outcome of my terminal:
    [root@matrix sbin]# ls
    squid
    [root@matrix sbin]# service squid start
    squid: unrecognized service
    [root@matrix sbin]#


    Pls help me....thanks in advance...

    Maybe the service name isn't called squid. Check /etc/rc.d/init.d to see what services there are.
