samba transfer files too slow
Hi all i start a samba server to transfer files throw mine frients windows boxes but when i try to get a file the transfer rate is too slow about 120kb/s.Can i speed it up?

Is this a samba share on a local network or across the internet? Normally this would be done across a local network but if it's done across the internet chances are that is your max speed.
Although if it's just for transfering a couple files, you could just ftp them. Has a pretty good chance of going faster if it's on a local network.
