IMHO vsftd is the best ftp daemon out, And to make it accessable from the internet we would need to know how you connect to the internet. Do you use a router?

So vsftpd is the best ...Now i am connecting to the internet via dialup but soon i and two friends of mine will go for a 384 kbps ADSL because in Greece internet is expensive
(That connection cost us about 100euro the modem and 80euro every month...)and connect it to ours lan.Any ideas?

Proftp with MySql hooks
I've been using ProFtp with a MySql backend. Have never had any issues. Creating accounts is simple and you don't have to have unix accounts for everyone who you want to let into you FTP. Simply create them in MySQL

Try PureFTP. Also uses a MySql backend and I never have stability problems.
