    Postgresql is *!@& me!

    Hi Everyone,

Don't you just love Linux? Sorry to all those out there who think Linux is fun!!!!!! Anyhow I have installed the Postgresql server on my system, god help me! It turns out that my postmaster will not start anymore, it worked fine for a while then it @#!% bricks. The following is a listing of my postmaster activities:

/usr/local/pgsql/bin/postmaster: failed to load server certificate (/usr/local/pgsql/data/server.crt): No such file or directory
/usr/local/pgsql/bin/postmaster: failed to load server certificate (/usr/local/pgsql/data/server.crt): No such file or directory
/usr/local/pgsql/bin/postmaster: failed to load server certificate (/usr/local/pgsql/data/server.crt): No such file or directory
/usr/local/pgsql/bin/postmaster: failed to load server certificate (/usr/local/pgsql/data/server.crt): No such file or directory
/usr/local/pgsql/bin/postmaster: failed to load server certificate (/usr/local/pgsql/data/server.crt): No such file or directory
/usr/local/pgsql/bin/postmaster: failed to load server certificate (/usr/local/pgsql/data/server.crt): No such file or directory
/usr/local/pgsql/bin/postmaster: failed to load server certificate (/usr/local/pgsql/data/server.crt): No such file or directory
/usr/local/pgsql/bin/postmaster: failed to load server certificate (/usr/local/pgsql/data/server.crt): No such file or directory

As can be seen from above the server.crt file has disappeared. If anybody out there has encountered this before and knows how to get this server.crt file back could you please let me know?

    Thanks

    David

Seems postgresql.org is down at the moment.

Have you looked there and is this the orignal install, reinstall or just reboot and it errored out? If just a reboot and it errored out, what changed since last reboot?
