I have a home network of about 7 machines, and last year went through the process of setting up my own mail server for the family, including providing email accounts for family members around the world. The server consists of Postfix, Dovecot for POP3/IMAP, SpamAssassin, ClamAV, Apache with AtMail and Webmin, all running on Voyage Linux (Debian) on a ALIX single-board PC. Works great.

The thing is, I now want to put in LDAP so I can centrally manage users accounts on all machines etc. This is not really a "need", more something I'd like to do so I can learn about setting up LDAP etc. But I figure that if I add LDAP, what I have created is the bones of Kolab, so why don't I just go ahead and install Kolab?

My mail server is running sweet and I am loathe to launch into Kolab and end up with a broken mess and loads of work to fix it. Has anyone migrated an existing mail server setup across to Kolab? Would love to hear if anyone has any tips.
