Building Npgsql for Ubuntu/PostgreSQL server
I'm trying to set up a Linux database server with Ubuntu and PostgreSQL that will be able to accept values from Windows software in our production line. I've gotten to the point of getting the server up and talking with other computers through pgadmin3, but I'm having some trouble moving forward with my project.
Two problems holding me up:
1) After I build npgsql with nant, there are no errors or warnings and no files in the build/mono folder, but there are some in build/ms folder. Do I not need the mono files? Do I just use the ms files?
2) Also, when I run "nant tests" I get a BUILD FAILED with 0 errors and 40 warnings. It says:
External Program Failed: /usr/local/lib/mono/2.0/gmcs.exe (return code was 1)
I've pretty much stopped moving forward in this project because at this point I don't want to do anything wrong that might be fatal to my system. Any advice? I can provide further details if necessary.
Thanks in advance.
