    Hello

    I started to use ubuntu server (new to linux =))

    I wonder if there is a way to keep server without gui desktop installation, BUT to be able to connect remotely with GUI interface?

    You can start the server without the GUI running. Howver, to use GUI tools though a ssh session, they need to be installed on the server and the display will be routed to the desktop linux doing the ssh.
