Linux servers
We need to buy a linux server that is going to support 500 users. The server will primarily cater to testing and training needs. Any pointers on this would be helpful

1: get a server
2: add users
It really isn't that difficult. You can use the 'useradd' program to add users. This kind of small setup can be done on a PPro 200 machine if you want. The only limit is what you will be testing. If you are testing a huge Tomcat application, you will want something more. If you will be compiling large (over 40k lines of code) applications, you will probably want something larger. For anything else, the low-end server at someplace like 1and1 or serverbeach should be more than sufficient.
