Samba keeps prompting me for user name and password

Hi

i have samba setup on my server and set it up according to this site (can't post link):

From my ubuntu 11.10 laptop I can see the share I setup but every time I try to access it keeps asking for my credentials

Hello,

You need to provide a little more information. Are you trying to access a samba share defined on your ubuntu laptop from your laptop, or is there a second PC involved?

Did you create a samba user? Is this user a local account (in /etc/passwd)?

Is your ultimate goal to be able to browse the share without supplying a password? As what user?

It might also help if you showed what exact command your are running, and any output generated by the command.

You may also want to post your smb.conf file.
